England Wins The Second Semi-Final Game Against Australia

The second semi-final of the cricket world cup 2019 was held between Australia and England. The result was a real upset for the former world cup winner Australia. After the 1992 world cup it is the first time that England has reached the finals of the world cup.

A talented bunch of Englishmen displayed their talent to the maximum and were able to defeat the Australians in the world cup semi-final match by 8 wickets. Earlier in the game Australia opted to bat but the superb bowling by Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer did not let the batsmen stay long on the crease and sent three of them back to the pavilion on 14 runs. The partnership of middle order batsmen was hurt by the hard working bowler Rashid who took three wickets.

If we have a look at the highest scorer from the Australian side, Smith made 85 to take the score to 223. The English team started very well as the openers Roy (85) and Bairstow (34) made 124 runs to put Australia in trouble. Joe Root assisted Eoin Morgan to finish the game and send Australia back home.

Right from the beginning of the tournament the Australian team had been one of the favorite teams of the cricket world cup 2019. The outstanding performance by the English team made it through the semi-final to get to the top position. It was a well-deserved win as the Team England was perfect in all fields. If you look at the batting field the performance of the openers of the team is enough as a trailer. If you compare the fielding of the England team it is much superior to that of most of the teams. The bowlers are no fewer experts than the batsmen. The talent displayed by the bowlers in the first three overs of the match was enough to predict the win of England.

The cricket team of the England already had the advantage of home ground and the immense support of the cricket fans worked well to boost the spirit of the team. At the end of the match the fireworks that were done all around the cricket stadium were the best display of happiness and delight that the England team supporters were enjoying.

The world cup final will be played on 14th July between New Zealand and England let’s see who wins the match. According to latest reports millions of cricket fans are now supporting England more than New Zealand.
